There is no better way to profit from the web than by having a successful, profit generating web site. If you are new to website designing and Internet marketing, have no fear, there is plenty of information on the web to help you get started. Creating a website can be done in three easy steps:
Decide on, and purchase a domain name:
Domain names can by easily purchased at GoDaddy.com or many other places like it on the web. Domain registration usually costs between 7 to 10 dollars a year. It is very reasonable. When you are choosing your domain name, don't make it funny or cute, unless you can do so while still placing proper keyword in it. For example if you sell golf supplies your domain should be something like www.golf-supplies-wharehouse.com not www.the-putter-fudder.com. You want the keyword "golf supplies" in your domain name.
Website Hosting:
The second step in creating a website is finding and purchasing a web hosting account. A few quality hosts are bluehost.com, godaddy.com, and a host of others. A website host is a company that rents their servers where your website files will be stored. They cost about 5 to 10 dollars a month, unless you chose to go with a free hosting service.
Website Design:
The third step in creating a website is to design your site. In this technologically advanced age, it is easy to find drag-and-drop web editors that allow anyone to make a good looking, easy to use website in a matter of days. Your hosting service will inevitably have design software that they provide.
When you have competed the three steps above, you will have an effective website. When you are finished, you will have to publish it (with help from your hosting provider) and test it out. After that you will be able to register your site with the major search engines (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.). After that, just market your business, and watch it grow.
